Cookie policy

This Cookie policy explains how MythologIQ Labs LLC ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar storage technologies on qortara.com and the Qortara dashboard ("Service"). It supplements the Privacy policy at https://qortara.com/legal/privacy.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device to remember information about you between visits. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags. References to "cookies" in this policy include those similar technologies where the context applies.
2. What we use
We keep cookie usage to the minimum needed to operate the Service.
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Strictly necessary, first-party, HTTPS-only, SameSite=Lax | Authenticates your dashboard session after you sign in | Cleared when you sign out, when the session expires, or when you close your browser session — whichever happens first |
| CSRF token | Strictly necessary, first-party, HTTPS-only | Protects authenticated form submissions from cross-site request forgery | Cleared on sign-out or session expiry |
| Anti-bot challenge state (when triggered) | Strictly necessary, first-party | Records that you have passed a bot-detection challenge so you do not have to repeat it | Up to 24 hours |
These cookies are strictly necessary to provide the Service you have requested. They are exempt from the consent requirement under the GDPR ePrivacy regime because they fall within the "strictly necessary" exemption (PECR Regulation 6(4)(b) in the United Kingdom and corresponding national transpositions in the European Economic Area).
3. What we do not use
We do not use, and do not plan to use without first updating this policy:
- third-party advertising cookies;
- cross-site behavioral tracking cookies;
- social-media sharing cookies that identify you to third parties;
- fingerprinting techniques designed to circumvent your privacy controls.
If we add privacy-preserving analytics in the future (for example, Plausible, Fathom, Umami, or similar cookie-less analytics that aggregate page-view counts without identifying individual visitors), we will update this page. The analytics products we would consider do not require consent banners under GDPR because they do not store information on your device that would trigger ePrivacy consent rules and do not process personal data identifiable to individual visitors. If our approach ever changes, we will publish an updated policy and, where required, present a consent banner before any non-essential cookie is set.
4. How to control cookies
Because we use only strictly necessary cookies, no separate opt-out mechanism is available; declining these cookies would prevent the Service from working.
You can still control cookies at the browser level:
- Block or clear cookies through your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out of the Service.
- Use private or incognito browsing to limit how long cookies persist.
- Use Do-Not-Track or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. We honor the GPC signal as an opt-out of any sale or sharing of personal information under CCPA/CPRA, although we do not engage in such sale or sharing.
