This Acceptable use policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Qortara service ("Service") operated by MythologIQ Labs LLC. It is incorporated by reference into the Terms of service at https://qortara.com/legal/terms. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of service.

We may update this AUP from time to time as described in the Terms of service §11.

1. General principle

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with the Terms of service, this AUP, and applicable law. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for any conduct that, in our reasonable judgment, violates this AUP, threatens the integrity, security, or availability of the Service, or exposes us or other users to legal or operational risk.

2. Prohibited uses

You will not use the Service, or permit any user or agent operating under your account to use the Service, to:

2.1 Illegal activity

  • engage in or facilitate any activity that violates applicable law, including but not limited to fraud, money laundering, sanctions evasion, child sexual abuse material, human trafficking, or non-consensual intimate imagery;
  • evaluate, govern, or audit the operation of agents engaged in illegal activity in a manner that has the purpose or effect of facilitating that activity;
  • export, re-export, or transfer the Service or its outputs in violation of US export-control or sanctions laws.

2.2 Harm to others

  • harass, threaten, defame, stalk, dox, or otherwise harm any person;
  • send unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or commercial communications that violate applicable anti-spam laws;
  • infringe the intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or contractual rights of any person;
  • collect, process, or share personal data without a lawful basis or in violation of the data subject's rights.

2.3 Security and integrity

  • introduce malware, ransomware, spyware, viruses, worms, or other malicious code into the Service or use the Service to deliver such code to third parties;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system, account, or data, whether ours, another user's, or a third party's;
  • conduct security probing, vulnerability scanning, fuzzing, or penetration testing against the Service without our prior written authorization (the responsible-disclosure program at https://qortara.com/legal/security is the supported channel);
  • circumvent, disable, or interfere with authentication, rate limits, quota metering, billing, or other access controls;
  • intentionally overwhelm shared infrastructure (denial of service) beyond your paid quota;
  • attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits and we cannot lawfully exclude.

2.4 Mining, scraping, and resale

  • use the Service to mine cryptocurrency or to operate proof-of-work or comparable computationally abusive workloads;
  • scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data from the Service beyond what is exposed through documented APIs;
  • resell, sublicense, white-label, or otherwise make the Service available to third parties without a separate written agreement.

2.5 Deceptive or manipulative practices

  • use the Service to operate or facilitate disinformation campaigns, synthetic-media impersonation of real persons without consent, or election-interference operations;
  • misrepresent your identity, your organization, or your authority to act on behalf of an organization.

3. High-risk uses

The Service is not designed for, and you will not use the Service in connection with:

  • nuclear facilities or nuclear-materials handling;
  • aviation life-safety systems or air-traffic control;
  • medical life-support systems or other clinical decision support whose failure would risk patient harm;
  • autonomous weapons systems or weapons-of-mass-destruction development.

These uses are excluded from any express or implied warranty and from our indemnification obligations under the Terms of service. Use of the Service in these contexts is at your own risk.

4. AI-specific prohibitions

The Service produces verdicts, trust scores, and policy-evaluation results. These outputs are advisory and probabilistic, not determinative. You will not:

4.1 Launder accountability

  • use the Service to launder accountability for autonomous actions, including by presenting a Service "allow" verdict as conclusive evidence of safety, lawfulness, or correctness;
  • represent to third parties that a Qortara verdict eliminates your responsibility for an agent's actions;
  • attempt to use the Service to obtain a "rubber stamp" for an action you know or reasonably should know is unsafe, unlawful, or contrary to applicable regulation.

4.2 Sole basis for consequential decisions

  • use Qortara verdicts as the sole basis for decisions with legal, safety, financial, medical, or human-rights consequences. A human reviewer with appropriate context must be involved in such decisions. Qortara outputs may inform but must not replace human judgment in those domains.

4.3 Misuse of cross-organization attestations

  • forge, alter, or replay Trust Federation attestations;
  • present another organization's attestation as your own;
  • use cross-organization attestations to mislead third parties about the governance posture of an agent or organization.

4.4 Adversarial inputs

  • use the Service to develop or test inputs intended to manipulate, jailbreak, or otherwise defeat third-party AI systems without the operator's authorization;
  • use the Service to coordinate prompt-injection or model-inversion attacks against third parties.

5. Reporting violations

Suspected violations of this AUP may be reported to abuse@qortara.com. Reports involving security vulnerabilities should be sent to security@qortara.com under the responsible-disclosure policy at https://qortara.com/legal/security.

6. Enforcement

If we determine, in our reasonable judgment, that you have violated this AUP, we may take one or more of the following actions, with or without prior notice:

  • contact you to discuss and remediate the issue;
  • restrict, throttle, or suspend specific features of the Service;
  • suspend your account and access to the Service;
  • terminate your account under the Terms of service §13;
  • refer the matter to law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required by law or warranted by the nature of the violation;
  • pursue any other remedy available under contract or law.

Where the violation is ongoing and causes immediate risk to the Service, other users, or third parties, we may act first and provide notice afterward.
